M9's summer camp starts again on June 13th! This year the Museum of the 20th Century in Mestre is offering new workshops, dedicated to the themes of taste and sound. The camp will be on every week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and/or 4:30 p.m., until Sept. 2nd. The summer camp activities are organized by M9 Education and will range across different subject areas: from literature to history, from art to architecture, from social sciences to technology. We at Morocolor are happy to contribute to a summer of culture and fun with some of our Primo products. We look forward to seeing the masterpieces that will be created during the workshops!
During the camp, in keeping with M9's philosophy, physical and digital will come together to complement each other. From team games and art workshops to educational robotics, participants will have all the tools they need to experience a stimulating and fun summer. In an increasingly hybrid world, we at Morocolor also think that careful integration of physical and digital is crucial in education. While it is essential not to lose the concreteness and materiality of things, digital media are an increasingly important daily presence for both personal and social development. M9 does valuable work in bringing together these two aspects of existence, education and everyday life.
"M9 is more than a museum. It is a space for discovery and learning available to people of all ages and backgrounds. An inclusive place to reflect through a broad educational program on the world we live in and the world we want, to feel part of a community and understand its roots together. With activities aimed at schools, families, adult continuing education, new citizens, and the physically and socially fragile, M9 serves as a tool for thinking about and engaging with different ideas, cultures and generations." M9's approach starts from the need to explore the role history plays in our present: "explaining to new generations the closest roots of the lifestyle they are accustomed to is the gateway to transform history into a concrete, tangible and close fact."
